Taking your braces photos

To take close up photos of your teeth:
  1. You have to switch to macro mode (flower icon on your camera)
  2. If the photo still turns out blur, adjust the distance of the camera from your teeth as there is a minimum distance - You may be too close / too far.
  3. If the photos turn out too bright / glaring, your flash is probably too strong. Move further or turn off your flash.
  4. Remember to half-press the trigger button to focus (camera may beep at this point) and then press the button fully to take the photo.

To edit the photos:
My blog photos are taken and cropped to only show the mouth area. There are lots of free photo editing software out there. I am using Photoshop to do the cropping. You can download Picasa to crop the photos. I believe Microsoft Paint can do the same if you are using Windows OS.

Hope this info helps if you are keeping your own braces photo journal! It's fun! =D
